Are Movie Stars the Only Ones Who Need Personal Trainers?
Oct 05, 2021Well, kind of. Let’s break it down.
You see, aren’t we all movie stars? Aren’t you starring in the unfolding drama of your own life?
Do you ever sit back and look at certain parts of your life, and think, “I’m not so sure I like where that part is headed!” Like, YIKES!
I know I have.
It will go something like this:
I looked great until I had kids, got married, got divorced, started working all the time, etc.. I really want to lose the extra weight, but I just can’t put the pieces together! Now my knees, back, shoulders, (choose your own nemesis joint) have started bugging me, and it’s really hard to exercise. Is it too late? Am I just getting old?
Yell, “CUT!”
Or this:
I was always the fat kid, skinny kid, weak kid, last pick, fill in the blank. That’s just the way it will always be for me, after all, it’s been this way so long, and women in my family ...
Not a great flick. Who would even audition for that part?
Want to change it up, but not sure how? Maybe what you have tried hasn’t worked, and you’re afraid nothing will work. I know I’ve felt that way. I’m here to say we’re not done.
The second half of life is a great time to sit in the director’s chair and dream a bit. Now is the time to reimagine our lives.
It takes courage to dream of new possibilities and say, “I am going to change this. Period. Starting now.”
Your movie is not over. And you are the STAR until the final scene. The good news is that the final act is up for revision. And yes, Movie Stars do use Trainers. They use them because they work. They use them because they need them.
You might too. Let’s do this.
